Pteridophyllum racemosum - 40 noses
« on: March 20, 2012, 10:52:37 PM »
After years of not doing much more than a few flower stems a year my Pteridophyllum racemosum is going crazy. I did really well last year but I cant remember how many stems it had.

This year there are just under 40 noses.

I guess it's happy now.

It must be SUPERBLY happy to have so many new growths, yet it looks as if it's in full sun? Pity you can't transport some of those south. :D

Lesley it grows in almost full shade. I had to flash it. The trough it grows in gets sun from dawn to 10am at the height of summer.

Last year the flowers were quite poor because, I think, of the lack of rain and unusual high temperatures

It will be a grand sight Mark. Of course you'll have the camera poised and ready to go. :)

Very nice plant  8). Mark you are going to have a lovely show there, you must post a picture when in flower. I was just going to google it to see what it looked like and then Trond kindly showed us a picture. I think I will treat myself to this. I think I have seen it on PC catalogue.
