I know you've seen pics of the display Mala Janes produced for the ruby anniversary, but I managed to talk her into posing in front of it for me as well.  Here's the result.

That's good... Mala is even wearing "ruby" colours  8)

That's quite well spotted Maggi.  I think it was intentional... she put such a lot of work into that exhibition I thought her recognition was so well deserved.

Your photos actually show even better than the others just how BIG a display the "Ruby Special" was.... a LONG run of boards..... masses of work to do all that.  8) 8)

Yes, Mala's attention to detail will surely have included the ruby clothes -  Such fun!

I think Mala would probably tell us it was even harder to get hold of the photos from members.... but she managed it in the end.

Thank you for the kind words Maggie. I had a great time at the show and saw some wonderful plants. Took lots of pictures to show you Fermi and Otto even though the lighting was not the best. Thank you Peter for making me feel welcome and I am sorry I did not get Fermi's message in time to look out for you Chris. I am going to the London AGS Show next week. Is anyone I know going?
Best wishes to you all
Cynthia

By the way, the cake was made by Stephens the Bakers from Dunfermline.  My son used to tell me that they made the best fudge doughnuts in the world so I knew they'd make a good job of the cake.  Hope everyone at the Show enjoyed it.

Sorry, Folks, the mention of fudge doughnuts was so exciting that I have had to seek counselling.... thus my tardiness in posting these photos, kindly sent by "The Butcher".

Better late than  never, I trust  :-[

Firstly, here is a photo which appeared in a local Northumberland newspaper....

No wonder so many judges are involved in each show! ;D

Someone has yet to explain how a doughnut gets to be a FUDGE doughnut, and will they have them in the Czech Republic? ;D

Lesley,  I regret that fudge doughnuts seem to be a very local delicacy..... little chance of them in Tabor, I fear.  :'(

I discover they have their own Facebook page, though  :o

As it says on the facebook page:

'According to the Dictionary of Biological Psychology, fudge doughnuts are a potent reinforcer that loses its standard measure of influence as additional portions are consumed (so that the fourth or fifth does not have the original influence).'

It sounds like you need to eat at least 5 or 6 so as not to be under the influence then. :P

So one may be enough, depending on what the "influence" is. Needing 5 or 6 to avoid being under the influence? Pity the same can't be said for G and T.
