Thanks Brian and David for cracking reports, some lovely stuff on the benches.

Just a query,  I wonder if the plants attributed to Clive Dart were actually Cyril Dart? I did notice one attributed to Audrey Dart who I think is Cyril's wife. But then, what's in a name!

Had a phone call this morning from a friend who lives in Norwich reporting a phone call from a friend of his who went to the Show yesterday. Said friend, who bears a passing resemblance to me (poor bloke! He's taller than me but I look younger ) was asked by two different people if he happened to be David Nicholson who says a lot on the SRGC Forum. He refrained from pointing out that my mouth is bigger than his. Such is the fame of The Forum.

The Clive Dart listed on the cards is from Henfield, David - if this is the same person there must have been a clerical error at the show!

I am sure you are correct.  As I was taking the picture a gentleman said he thought the exhibitor had dropped his labels when setting up and had mixed them up.  Unfortunately I didn't get to the other exhibit.  I have changed the listing accordingly.

Wow what a show especially the Pelargonium - Google here I come - and Disporum smithii 'Rick' - when will this stunning plant be micro propogated?

Pelargonium havlasae is Australian. Maybe Paul or Fermi grows it or can source some seeds for me - pretty please

I note from the label that Pelargonium havlasae was sown 4.2.10 - so not too long to get a well-flowered little plant. Will need alpine house protection at the least, do you think?

Maggi many Pelargoniums are hardy in the UK - australe, iocastrum, quercetorum, endlicheranum. Many will flower the same year they were sown.

Such marvellous plants and all so superbly grown. Well worth polishing your pots Martin. Hard to pick favourites in there but the irises have to be near the top for me. Organizers must be very pleased with the higher entry.

Here are a few impressions of the show as I saw it.  Needless to say I did not get a chance to go round and study all the exhibits despite having been on duty from 645am!

Judging about to start.
Digital display (super size thanks to school having a BIG screen).  I annotated one of my general alpine talks, added adverts for the local group and the conference and set it to play in a loop all day.
Loved the pot of crevice planted androsaces.
Paeonia cambessedesii standing proud.
Nice little cyprepedium ..... furry tanacetum beyond.
Lewisias, bright and colourful .... if a little brash!
