Hi we (Ron and Susan McBeath, Rob Potteron, Julia Corden) are over at Peter Korn's getting ready for our lectures tomorrow at Peter's Nerd Day. We visited the Goteborg Botanic's today and had a great welcome by Henrick and Johan ( Maggi's your toy boy)
The Botanic's is looking fantastic. Rob and Ron are keeping me off the motorways!
More to follow tomorrow.

I had intended to post some photos sooner from Peter Korn's "Nerd Day" event on 5 May, so to start with we have the excellent audience that attended the talks - i wish all audiences were so enthusiastic:

Rick and i travelled from Immingham to Gothenburg on a Roll on / Roll off ferry, with limited passenger space, the crossing took 27 hours, was both expensive and boring but thankfully a smooth crossing. Ron McBeath and Julia Corden flew from Edinburgh to Gothenburg in less than 90 minutes.
From the Gothenburg ferry port to Peter's is a distance of about 20 miles, we stopped briefly to admire the Anemone nemorosa along the roadside WOW .... we later saw that nearly all the countryside road verges and woodland edges were covered with Anemone ..... always white but we did see some older flowers fading to pink.
With the help of our sat nav we easily found Peters nursery and the roadsign is very clear.

Peter's garden is truly stunning, looking back through my photos they really do not do it justice, they dont show the scale or size correctly; nevertheless here goes ...

.... and finally, Peter Korn has recently published his first book "Peter Korns Tradgard", it is written in Swedish with an abundance of beatifull photographs. Peter is hoping to print and publish an English written version next year.
This was an enjoyable, enlightening adventure to Sweden, meeting many, many friendly folk. My thanks to Peter and Mirjam and hope to see to you both again soon.
