I appreciate the bulb logs for their chronicle of a garden's changing aspects and for Ian showing us not only the most beautiful specimens but random seedlings and whole garden views.  I am already dreading the time when there will be no Wednesday read!

I have a question about the arisaema featured as an "arisaema forest" in this week's log.  I have very similar arisaemas that I raised from seed.  They came in an unsprouted seed pot from a dear friend who passed away and were labeled "Arisaema sp. ex China".  Anyone have a name for them?  The burgundy stripes are stunning as are the thread-like tips of the leaves.

The arisaema forest is A. ciliatum, Claire, though there may be a couple of A. intermedium in the foreground of some pix.

Not sure this is relevant with you Claire, but it really was with me so I thought I'd highlight it. I was getting very confused with A ciliatum because of the description and the species name. This post from 2011 helped me figure it.

Thanks for the link, Ron.  (Your reply is a perfect example of why I keep coming back to the SRGC forum -- because I learn so much.)

A close examination of my plants reveals that they are the "naked" form.  Too bad, I would have enjoyed seeing the hairs

On the subject of lifting trilliums: would this be a good time to repot 3 year old trillium seedlings ?

I have a pot full of trillium grandiflorum seedlings and they must be feeling very crowded by now
