My goodness! What a  fine selection of colours in these flowers!

I was given a Gloriosa from Bill Dijk -  but it does not seem to want to break dormancy- it is just sitting in its pot. So sad  :'(

Maggi - dont give up - be patient
Take the pot on a warm and a little shady place and give it from time to time water ...
In winter you can look ( when they are resting ) if the tubers are still OK - maybe they came up in next year

Hans,
you have a great gollection of these glorious lilies! ;D
Do you get seed of the separate types? Or do you try crossing them?

Thank you Fermi  :D

I have in last years always collectet seeds of Gloriosa ,Littonia + Sandersonia ...but there was never any big interest .....so I have given up -in this year I have cut all flowers when they are faded

Silverhill + African bulbs have from time to time seeds

I have one from Kevock doing the same.  I have stopped watering and will try it in the house next year to give it a bit more warmth when starting off.  The end of the tuber is near the pot surface and is still quite firm.  I sowed four seeds from T&M in the spring.  Nothing happened for a long time so I tried them with some bottom heat and two germinated quite quickly.  I have kept them in the house to keep them warm.
