I`m planning to go to The Myddelton House sale and want to know who else is going there

I'm tempted to go because it's only about an hour's drive away.  On the other hand, the snowdrops on the list look they might be too expensive for my pocket - and I have decided to focus my snowdrop collection elsewhere.

If you go by public transport then you will need to have faith that Myddleton house really is at the end of the very urban Turkey Street.  But it is (although only on foot).
Almost in Scotland.

In which case driving directions are here http://www.visitleevalley.org.uk/en/content/cms/nature/gardens-heritage/myddelton-house-gardens/#find_us.  You'll need to be aiming for the right hand lane as soon as you leave the M25 roundabout in order to make the right turn into Bullsmoor Lane

I'll volunteer for that.  How close the nearest airport?

(As I've disabled Javascipt so the wink is not an option)

I have very limited funds this year Jennie - so very happy to help carry stuff - please think of me as a pack mule.

I think there is more news around which suggest to me that a few folks might be needing a shopping trolley soon..... this from Sue and Wol of Glen Chantry:

GLEN CHANTRY SNOWDROPS

SALES  EVENTS WE ARE BOOKED TO ATTEND IN JANUARY AND FEBRUARY 2013

In our 2012 resting bulb list we stated that we are not going to issue an In The Green Snowdrop List in 2013 for a variety of reasons. We do however have a very large selection of choice snowdrops established in individual pots to offer at the events below. Many are varieties that we do not have in sufficient quantities to offer in a full list. We intend to share them out fairly between the events we are attending. A list of varieties will be available at the events. To enable us to offer the widest selection at the events and limited space in the car for transport, we regret that we cannot accept pre orders.

1]  Saturday 26th January 10.30 - 12.00

Snowdrops Event at Myddleton House, Enfield, Middlesex  EN2 9HG.

Entry to sale £3.50 on the day.  Entry to the famous former garden of E.A.Bowles  which is being rapidly and carefully restored, is free.

2] Saturday 2nd February 10.00 – 2.00

Snowdrop Festival at Harvey’s Garden Plants, Great Green, Thurston, Bury St Edmunds IP31 3SJ.

£2 entry on the day.

3] Saturday 9th February

Snowdrop Gala at St Felix School, Halesworth Road, Reydon, Southwold, Suffolk IP18 6SD.

This is an all day event involving lectures from three very prominent galanthophiles, plant sales, an optional lunch and afternoon visits to the gardens  of Mike and Anne Broadhurst at Rainbow Farm, Redisham, Suffolk NR34 8NE and John and Brenda Foster at Gable House close by. Tickets are available from Joe Sharman at Monksilver Nursery, Cottenham, Cambs CB24 8TW. [Early booking is advised!]

4] Saturday 16th February

Cottage Garden Society Snowdrop Group Members Day at Southmoor Village Hall, Draycott Road, Southmoor Oxfordshire OXI3 5BY.

Afternoon Garden Visit to Kingston Bagpuise.  A ticket only event. Details from Pam Lucas 29 Stert Street, Abingdon, OX14 3JF or toby.jarvis @btinternet.com

Hopefully we can look forward to seeing you at some of the events shown above.

With every good wish for an enjoyable snowdrop season in 2013

Can someone please remind me who to contact about joining the Cottage Garden Society snowdrop group, and do you have to join the Cottage Garden Society first, and who to contact about that? The members day is quite close to me and I'd like to go, especially as Wol and Sue will be there, but will need to rejoin, which I've been meaning to do for ages.
