I was looking at the list of Great British Gardens last week. (Link posted by Maggi) http://www.greatbritishgardens.co.uk/snowdrops.htm

How lucky am I!!!
10 Gardens are in Gloucestershire, 5 in Wiltshire and 2 in Oxfordshire.
That will keep me busy and out of trouble :)

It was AlanB  who provided the link initially  8)
There is certainly no shortage of gardens to choose from -  you do seem lucky to be within striking distance of so many, Jacqueline.

The Great British Gardens list is... great.... but not entirely accurate! For example they list two dates for Austwick Hall (Yorkshire) where as if you check Austwick Hall's website there are seven open days listed!! AND one of the GBG dates isn't on the list!!!!

Jennie - there are more gardens opening in Kent; several for the NGS including Carolyn and John Millen, and ours at Faversham. But there aren't so many with long established and really strong collections as in the Midlands. The trouble is we are a bit out on a limb and difficult to get to for a lot of snowdrop afficianados, but that makes us all the more interesting!!!

Did it sell-out this year or are there still tickets available for latecomers?
Almost in Scotland.

That would eat-in to the snowdrop-buying budget but my offer of transport still stands.
Almost in Scotland.

Just spoke to a very friendly member of staff at Myddleton House. Their snowdrop sale tomorrow is going ahead "unless we have 2ft of snow tonight".  If anyone wants to check before driving in the morning, their visitor phone line is 08456 770600.
Hopefully see you there!
