My letter about the Gala ends "PTO", but the reverse side is blank.  So I guess they could have pulled the distribution when it was discovered that the print run had gone wrong.  But on past experience, this is just a proof-reading failure.

My letter was a nursery invite letter, inviting me have a table to sell snowdrops or my book, with info on where, who's giving talks etc. It wasn't the invitation to attend letter. The nursery/selling table invites go out earlier than the general invites.

Had my Gala invitation last Thursday, perhaps Joe is sending them in alphabetical order?  Had a good read about the other galanthus events coming up, then browsed the bulb lists which had just gone online from Colesbourne and Ivycroft Plants.  Before I knew what was happening ,I'd ordered three snowdrops and eaten all the Jaffa cakes!

As I've already ordered too many next year I must try some Jaffa cakes, they're apparently a potent corrective.

Cheers Diane, I'm pleased to say that there seems no need for the rest of us to panic (galanthophiles  ??? )  A friend who has never missed a Gala is also waiting for her 'Dear Snowdrop Lover' letter, whilst someone in the next village has had one last weekend.
