Is there someone on the forum
who has seeds (or some bulbs) from Narcissus triandus albus
the real wild one
best with location where the mother-plants where collected

Is this what is now known as N triandrus ssp. triandrus? If so I could probably let you have some seed in a little while, but from my own several generations of home grown, not, I'm afraid, from wild material.

Probably all names aren't correct
The plant-list says they are all synonyms
from Narcissus triandrus

but I am after the ones on the pictures
called here angel tears

I've never had any labelled 'Angel's Tears' which I thought was a little closer to yellow, like 'Angel's Whisper,' et al.

What I have is what's above though it may be that those pictures are a little more heavily textured, if you see what I mean. At the recent Daffodil Show in Dunedin there were many of N. triandrus ssp triandrus or t. albus with slight variations in the form, such as crimped coronas, twisted sepals etc.

According to Blanchard, 'Angel's Tears' is the name given by Peter Barr  to 'N. triandrus albus' which is currently known as   N. triandrus var. triandrus. It was collected by Barr  in 1887 &  used to be widely available in the trade under this popular name.

Following The Plantlist N. triandrus var. triandrus doesn't exist
and is just Narcissus triandrus an accepted name

N. triandrus var. triandrus in the trade was wild collected material
but luckily not available sins a long time

Yes I prefer natural shapes
 
but I think there is a big difference
if wild collected material goes to a professional grower
who multiplies it the natural way (by seeds)
or to private gardens bought in a supermarket
where most of the time the bulbs die the first winter

for that I am happy it isn't allowed any more , to sell those bulbs

Kurt Vickery often sells N. triandrus seed originating  from various collected locations. He will probabaly be sold out by now.  kvickery67@btinternet.com
