I buy mainly from two suppliers these days.

So who gets the Mark Smyth seal of approval?
Almost in Scotland.

Alan one is Avon Bulbs. You can be guaranteed that any bulb sent by them, while dormant, will be flowering size and they sell pot grown plants.

I agree Mark, I've always had very good snowdrops from Alan Street at Avon Bulbs.

Can we know who the other seller is?

Lucky you Emma getting a Christmas bonus! 8)

Aw thank you Mark for those kind words. We always do our best! Work has started on the 2013 catalogue, it should be ready (in the post and online) from the beginning of January. We have such lovely customers too x

are there any good galanthus from the gold group on the list? I am looking for a few to increase my small galanthus collection.

So far, I have only managed to get hold of 3 wendy's gold that i am looking forward to see pop through the ground next year :)

Avon are great because of the quality of their bulbs, daughter bulbs are not pried off and they do not supply tiny bulbs with single grass like leaves

I agree with Mark. Avon does supply healthy big bulbs as does Ian Christie.

Yep I agree with you about Dryad Mark... ;D

Ian Christie sent me great bulbs as has Mike Broadhurst.

Joe Sharman has sent me super bulbs too.

I hate it when you know you have been short changed by a supplier (one in particular) that strips bulbs of daughter bulbs & then sends out as Mark says non flowering sized bulbs with a grass like leaf. If you write to say how disappointed you are with the bulb/s sent he totally ignores you. I would never order from him again..so there. >:(
