I believe the lovely seeds of peonys are much under valued... the colours are SO rich  :)

.....but the problem ( in the wild ) is to find fruits and seeds of peonies in fall- please look :

Mhhhh - yes it is easier in the garden .....but it makes really much more fun ( for me ) to search and find it in nature .
And you will never forget if you see peonies flowering in spring in the wild !!!

I didn't found pics in the web of these Zephyranthes. It's very boring to ask you to post a pic of them?

Another question (me and my infinite questions ::)): What is the diference between Pancratium Maritimum and P.M. ex Karpathos?

Cris,

Pancratium maritimum is the name of the species.

P. maritmum ex Karpathos simply means that the particular selection of the plant being grown is FROM Karpathos.

I have seen the  species growing at the seashore in Portugal...both north of Lisboa and in the Algarve.

So...Pancratium maritimum ex Portugal!

Here are the pics of this Zephyranthes - they are may be new undescriptet species from Argentina .

No - it is really not a problem to ask me for informations or pics - I'm always glad if I can help
I'm also a beginner with so many other genus -and I also need often help
Yes -Carlo is rigth -this is only the location where I have found this plants ( and seeds )
For me personly is it always importet to get a location from where the plants come ( country , altitude ,soil , shade or sunny ......) if you have this informations so is it much easier to know something about cultivation .
A plant without a location is not complete for me !!!
This is for me the importet reason for all my travel to see the plants on her habitats

Thank you for ansswering for me this question .
I'm really surprised that this plants also growing north of Lisboa ....so they have a real big range .
I found it also on Crete ,Sardinia, Menorca,....
On Corsica I have found P. illyricum :

Hans, thanks for the link, I'll look for them. The problem with the google, is that many times it doesn't show the plants, or show anothers totaly different...or I don't know how to do it. But I'll try again.

The pic of Zephyranthes is beautiful, thanks.

I will try to make more pics in next year - now with the digital camera is it much easier !
Thank you for the link to Pancr. canariense ..... -I must wait to see the difference to P. maritimum ,because I have seedlings of P. canariense
