Crocus pelistericus in flower todayIts previous earliest flowering was 17th January and its latest 15th April.
Great to see these Crocus flowers - it fairly cheers me up in the darkness The ones we have with flowers, mostly Crocus laevigatus, are not encouraged to open in the low light cold conditions we are currently experiencing - the buds give up after two or three weeks waiting for some warmth and wither with out ever opening .Nice to see Crocus pelistericus flowering this early - by coincidence I was just sorting through my picture files and was viewing this picture taken on 4th April - something to look forward to.
