Superb plant Ian, not a species I can grow here.
Here actually in flower are Iris planifolia and Iris persica.

Hans   , you always grow such beautiful healthy Irises , in particular the grayish (stormcloud ) persica is delectable .
Collector of rare bulbs & alpines, east of Melbourne, 500m alt, temperate rain forest.

Iris fosteriana was grown from Archibaldseed - so maybe your is relative of mine. ;)

It's from the same source indeed. My big bulb split up after flowering last year and I think the babies will be too small to flower.
