Yes I have lots of flowers on the Iris planifolia clump but I am waiting on Trevor N and Marcus H coming tomorrow to tell me if I have virus through the patch. I have quite a few without the yellow stripe this year.

My plant is onto its second flower now Fermi. Is yours a lighter blue

Hi Pat,
Mine appears a lighter blue, though I don't have a clour chart to be able to give it an objective value!
The seed was donated to the NARGS Seedex by Otto's friend Erich Pasche! But I'm not sure if it was wild collected or second generation from the garden. My records are a bit sketchy about that sort of detail!
Is this one self fertile? Or do we need to swap pollen?

Very nice juno's Fermi and Pat ! Stil remarkable ....we are replant the dry bulbs for the moment while you enjoy the flowering ones . But thanks to share . Love especially the dark one ....

Impeccable
It doesn't look like pics of I. vicaria on the SIGNA database and it does have the distinctive wing on the side of the fall that Peter Taggart mentions on the entry on the SIGNA site.
It may be a bit elongated as it was overgrown by rampant Californian Poppies!

Wow Luc, this is early! Went in the garden with my maglite to check my plants of this species (what differences exist between species and ssp.micrantha?), but nothing to see.
My neighbours may think this crazy guy is looking for snails again which are not out because of the drought - still not learning after all the years he lives here...
